Open since 1988, Chao Phraya was one of the first Restaurant in Montreal to offer the special flavours of Thailand. In fact, Thai food is internationally famous by it distinctive taste and healthy foods. The major ingredients consist of fresh herbs, curry, dried chillies, garlic, coriander roots, lemon grass, shallots, kaffir lime peel and galanga.
According to its traditions a proper Thai meal should consist of a soup, a curry dish with condiments, a dip with accompanying fish and vegetables. A spiced salad may as well replace the curry dish. The harmonious blend of the spicy, the subtle, the sweet and sour taste is meant to be equally satisfying to eye, nose, and palate. However, chilli-hot or comparatively bland, harmony is the guiding principle behind each dish. There must be as well a harmony of tastes and textures within individual dishes and the entire meal. |
